Harlow Brooks has found her footing through the stories she has collected throughout her life. She was raised in Healdsburg, California, a small wine town in Northern California where the connectedness of her tight-knit community became the inspiration for the specific yet wide-reaching narratives. Harlow focuses on painting worlds with strong female leads, because it is what she knew growing up.
During her time at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts, Harlow’s filmmaking has reached a new maturity and level of complexity that she accredits to the support she has received from her talented faculty and peers.
Harlow continues to grow as a filmmaker and is grateful to have been selected as the recipient of the John Huston Directing scholarship at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts.
